The day the skies fell on our heads !

July has been a challenging month. We planned a new open plan gorgeous -dream- kitchen designed to interface with guests chilling on the river and decks offering organic and smoked homemade delights. The plan was to keep the roof on and service guests through the renovation with our fine dining unhindered by the building above us.
Day 1: a resounding crack shakes the kitchen - coupled with my, the chef and waiter's three shrieks of alarm. The guests, who until then were enjoying the bliss and peace of a relaxing Lethabo stay, dashed into the kitchen to help hold the roof up off our heads and their "gourmet" eggs benedict!
Chaos and many changes of plans...building and other ensued!
Sleepless nights and days later, all is well and on track to an even better kitchen fantasia ...... albeit at twice the price !
